Flourish Education is seeking a Head of Year for a secondary school in Kings Heath on a part-time basis (3 days/week) with a view to temp‑to‑perm. The role focuses on student wellbeing, personal development and welfare, requiring strong pastoral leadership and excellent organisational skills.

The successful candidate will build relationships with students, parents and staff, monitor attendance and ensure positive conduct, with UCAS support and team collaboration as core duties.

Qualifications

• Head of Year or similar pastoral leadership experience.
• Experience in a secondary school environment.
• Strong understanding of pastoral care and student wellbeing.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Act as the main point of contact for students, parents and teachers regarding wellbeing.
• Provide effective pastoral care and maintain student welfare.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality and daily conduct.
• Apply school policies and run appropriate interventions.
• Provide UCAS support to students.
• Build relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Work collaboratively as part of the school team.
