Job summary

Guildhall School of Music & Drama is seeking a professionally qualified counsellor to join the Student Services team on a part-time basis. The role is 21 hours per week, term time plus make-up weeks, with a hybrid model of in-person and online counselling.

You will support vulnerable students in higher education, work with colleagues, and maintain DBS clearance; accreditation with a professional body is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a professionally qualified counsellor with experience in higher education.
• Experience supporting vulnerable students in HE sector.
• Hybrid model delivering counselling in-person and online.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.
• Accreditation with, or eligibility for accreditation by, a professional counselling body is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one counselling, via hybrid model (in-person and online).
• Work with fellow counsellors and represent the team on institutional and local networks.
• Ensure safeguarding commitments and DBS clearance.
