Job summary

Derbyshire Health United Ltd invites applications for a GP to join Melbourne & Chellaston Medical Practice in South Derbyshire. The role is part-time, with 4-6 sessions per week, and involves a collaborative team focused on teaching, innovation and excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will deliver high quality medical care, review results, manage records, and be involved in home visits as needed; GP slots are 10 or 15 minutes, with a pro rata duty doctor and a strong CPD ethos.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and certification.
• Strong patient care and medication administration skills.
• Commitment to self-learning and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality medical care for acute and chronic conditions.
• Review test results and take appropriate action.
• Keep accurate medical records per GMC best practice.
• Undertake home visits as needed.
• Complete dictations for referrals promptly.
• Cover the duty doctor role on a pro rata basis.
• Work as part of the clinical team with NP, pharmacists and nurses.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
