Job summary

Cuckfield Medical Practice is looking for a General Practitioner to join our established, vibrant team in mid-Sussex. You will be focused on providing high-quality patient care while remaining adaptable to changes in general practice.

The role offers a fixed-term contract of nine to twelve months with 4–5 sessions per week, starting as early as December 2026. The practice supports ongoing learning within a multidisciplinary team, with stable management and training opportunities across both

Qualifications

• Qualified GP with MRCGP or equivalent JCPTGP certificate (CCT).
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
• Provide services commensurate with the primary care contract.
• Clinically assess patient needs and plan care, referring to other services as needed.
• Priniciple of safe and effective prescribing.
• Prioritise health problems and manage urgent or emergency cases.
• Manage long-term conditions effectively.
• Support health promotion and self-care among patients.
• Process referrals, repeat prescriptions and related admin.
• Review medications per NICE guidance and local pathways.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and collaborate with the practice team.
• Attend and contribute to practice meetings and governance activities.
• Assist in CPD and development within the team.
