Job summary

Wiltshire Farm Foods, part of the apetito group, is recruiting a part-time Delivery Driver in Preston. You will deliver frozen meals to customers, handle orders in the coldstore, and provide excellent service while upholding safety and confidentiality.

Work pattern is 24 hours per week across 3 days in 6, with occasional bank holidays. Full UK manual driving licence required, and you’ll operate in a -20°C environment with protective clothing provided. Competitive pay and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Essential: Experience within a customer service-based role.
• Essential: Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Essential: Basic computer literacy including use of phone apps.
• Essential: Evidence of work stability.
• Essential: Basic secondary education.
• Desirable: Experience of multi-drop delivery role.
• Desirable: Experience within a care-based role.
• Desirable: Warehouse experience.
• Desirable: Health & Safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver frozen meals to our customers in a timely manner.
• Picking orders within the coldstore.
• Using our app to update customers deliveries.
• Delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
• Undertake pre-shift inspection of your van.
• Drive safely, responsibly and within the law.
• Clean and refuel your van as and when needed.
• Contact the office with any discrepancies or delays.
• Ensure customer confidentiality.
• Helping the office team and picking team when required.
• Reporting health and safety, stock quality and mechanical issues.
• Assist the team if another member of the team is absent or on holiday.
• Carry out local marketing activities such as leaflet door drops and sheltered housing visits to attract new customers.
