Job summary

A family-owned SME in the North East of England is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to manage the finance function part-time. Responsibilities include preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports, as well as leading the finance team. The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong systems experience and excellent communication skills. This role is office-based, requiring approximately three days of work per week.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant with strong systems experience.
  • Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and lead a team.

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership and delivery of the finance function.
  • Responsible for preparation and analysis of monthly board pack.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Assist with compliance reporting including payroll taxes.
  • Lead the finance team and serve as point of contact.
