Job summary

Connected Search Group is seeking a Part-Time Finance Assistant to join the finance team. The role focuses on day-to-day transactional finance activities across sales and purchase ledgers, credit control, and cash management, reporting to senior finance staff.

With 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on-site with some flexibility, you’ll support bank reconciliations, Shopify transactions, and ad hoc tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail in a growing group business.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience across sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and bank reconciliation.
• Strong experience using accounting software and confidence with Excel.
• Experience with Shopify or another e-commerce platform would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Processing and maintaining the sales ledger.
• Processing and maintaining the purchase ledger.
• Managing credit control, including chasing outstanding customer balances and resolving queries.
• Allocating cash across bank and merchant accounts.
• Completing bank reconciliations.
• Reconciling Shopify transactions against sales and bank records.
• Managing and responding to queries through the accounts email inbox.
• Supporting the Financial Controller and Management Accountant with ad hoc finance tasks as required.
