Job summary

Tempdent is seeking a qualified dental nurse to become a Workplace Assessor in South Wales. The role is field-based and part-time, requiring one day per week (Tuesdays) to support learners within dentist practices as they train toward the Diploma in Dental Nursing and End Point Assessment.

You will observe and assess skills in real clinical environments, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with learners, employers and Tempdent to ensure progress.

Qualifications

• GDC registered dental nurse with industry experience.
• Assessor qualification (CAVA or TAQA) or willingness to acquire it.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage own schedule.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and carry out workplace assessments for Dental Nursing learners within required timelines.
• Communicate with practice managers and learners when arranging assessment visits.
• Ensure clinical treatments are booked and observed.
• Provide constructive feedback to learners and employers.
• Manage your assessment diary to maximise opportunities.
• Complete assessment documentation accurately and on time.
• Support learners toward End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Conduct Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities checks in dental practices.
• Facilitate communication between learners, employers and Tempdent.
• Attend team meetings and standardisation sessions.
• Maintain GDC registration and CPD requirements.
