Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council invites applications for an Early Years Assistant at Cramond Primary Nursery School on a fixed-term contract until 29 June 2027. The role is 16 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Monday to Thursday 10:00–14:00.

You will support children's learning, assist with welfare needs and day-to-day operations under the Head Teacher/Head of Centre, with PVG checks and SSSC obligations in place.

Qualifications

• SVQ2/SCQF Level 6 qualification required within 3 years.
• Register with SSSC within 3 months of starting.
• Good literacy and numeracy; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the educational, care and welfare needs of all children.
• Assist in day-to-day operations of the School/Early Years Centre.
• Carry out general clerical duties to support learning.
