Job summary

Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking an Early Years Assistant to help look after babies and children up to age 5. You will support play, reading, and development toward milestones as part of a friendly team in a four-room nursery with outdoor spaces.

The part-time role is 20 hours, Mon-Fri 11am-3pm in Cambridge. We offer HEART values, a childcare discount, enhanced parental leave, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension, and wellbeing and career

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential.
• Ability to develop learning through interactive play.
• Ability to build trust and partnerships with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Look after babies and children up to age 5 as part of a team.
• Engage children in interactive play, reading, and activities to support development.
• Support colleagues with each child’s milestones and progress.
