Overview
Simply Education is working with a school in Northampton seeking a part-time Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join their department. The role focuses on Resistant Materials and DT for KS3. It is a contracted position from after the February half-term to July. The timetable is 3 days in Week A and 2 days in Week B. This is a full planning, preparing and marking DT role based in Northampton.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons in Design and Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials for KS3.
- Manage and monitor student progress, provide feedback and assess work in line with school policies.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment and support students in their learning.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Ideally hold UK QTS.
- Experience teaching Design & Technology and Resistant Materials.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Formal qualification such as a PGCE in Education is essential; previous classroom experience will also be considered.
- Passion for teaching and education with a creative approach.
- Flexible and adaptable with excellent communication and lesson delivery skills.
- High work ethic andambition to become an outstanding classroom practitioner.
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting students and colleagues.
