Job summary

NHS Jobs in Sheffield is seeking a part-time driver to support transport for service users at Sheffield Day Services. You will work 25 hours per week across mornings and afternoons, holding a valid D1 driving licence and adhering to health and safety policies.

You will conduct vehicle checks, drive safely, and help maintain clean, well‑presented vehicles. Previous healthcare experience is desirable and an enhanced DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Part Time Driver with a passion for making a difference to others. Must Hold a Category D1 Driving License. Helping provide an efficient, safe and reliable transport service for individuals in our care. You'll be working part time, working 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday 08:00am - 10:30am and then 14:30pm - 17:00pm including bank holidays), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Sheffield Day Services. Sheffield Day Services support people with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs, physical disabilities and autism. We aim to enhance the quality of life of the individuals who attend the service. We focus on demonstrating outcomes and value through our activities.

Key responsibilities

Requirements

• Holder of a clean, valid UK D1 driving license
• Health & safety experience & knowledge
• Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting (desirable)
• Confident, outgoing personality
• Excellent communication skills
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
