Job summary

Prime Life is seeking passionate Day Care Assistants for Barons Park Nursing and Residential Home in Kirby Muxloe. This part-time role offers afternoon shifts across seven days and a supportive team dedicated to high-quality resident care.

You will help with personal care, nutrition, mobility, companionship and documentation. Although prior care experience helps, full training is provided; applicants should be patient, respectful, and dementia-aware.

Qualifications

• Genuine caring nature and desire to make a real difference for residents.
• Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
• Patience, understanding and respect for residents' individual abilities; dementia awareness is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and choosing outfits.
• Support residents to dine at mealtimes and maintain good nutrition and hydration.
• Encourage residents to mobilise safely around the home with mobility aids and equipment.
• Provide friendship and companionship, and accompany residents on social outings or appointments.
• Maintain accurate and timely written records and complete documentation.
• Be part of a multi-disciplinary team to promote residents' health and well-being.
• Welcome family members to the home and assist with enquiries.

Prime Life are on the lookout for passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team as a Day Care Assistant, on a part time basis. At present, we have several vacancies available and are keen to meet with candidates as soon as possible for interviews.

This role will be based at Barons Park Nursing and Residential Home, in Kirby Muxloe. The home has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 46 residents, living with a range of physical, age related and mental health conditions that require dignified support from our caring team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Part time Care Assistant include:

What we’re looking for in our Part time Care Assistant:

To be successful within this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Though prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided. Typically, our residents live with age related conditions, life-limiting health conditions and physical disabilities that require dignified support from our care team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities. Additionally, many of our residents live with dementia and as such an understanding of dementia would be beneficial.
