Job summary

Forrest Recruitment are delighted to be working exclusively with our client on a stand-alone Credit Controller role at their Head Office on the outskirts of Wigan. The position is part-time (20 hours per week) with a pro‑rata salary of £29k and a flexible 2–3 day pattern.

The successful candidate will manage a £1.5 million debtor ledger, chase payments, allocate receipts on Sage 50, and handle invoice queries in a small, hands-on finance team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Credit Controller or in a similar credit control role.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Excellent communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Managing a debtor ledger valued at £1.5 million.
• Chasing payments via telephone and email.
• Speak to business and domestic customers to secure payment dates.
• Allocating payments to the ledger on Sage 50.
• Sending out copies of invoices and handling payment queries.
• Completing claim forms if legal action is required.

Credit Controller - Part Time - Wigan - Permanent - £29k pro rata (20 hours per week)

Forrest Recruitment are delighted to be working exclusively with our well established, reputable client who are a market leader in their field. They offer a wide range of services and have an impressive commercial and domestic client base. The company are seeking an experienced Credit Controller join their finance team of 5 at their modern Head Office on the outskirts of Wigan. This is a stand alone role overseeing the full credit control function, so requires the ability to work on your own initiative and manage your own workload.

Duties will include:

* Managing a debtor ledger valuing £1.5 million

* Chasing payments ranging from £70-£500k via telephone and email

* Speaking to business and domestic customers to secure payment dates

* Allocating payments to the ledger on Sage 50

* Sending out copies of invoices and handling payment queries

* Completing claim forms if legal action is require

Working hours:

* Monday to Friday

* 20 hours per week across 2-3 days (flexible on days worked)
