Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about working with young people? We are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in St Helens and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff to gain valuable classroom experience while making a real impact.

Role Responsibilities
  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, following pre-set lesson plans.
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support students with their learning and answer questions where possible.
  • Report back to teaching staff on class progress and behaviour.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people (in education, youth work, or similar settings).
  • Good classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
  • Adaptability and confidence to work across different subjects and year groups.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
