A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Cook at Hampton by Hilton Manchester Northern Quarter

Hours = Casual (a variety of shifts) over 7 days. Includes weekends.

Shift Examples

• 06:00 - 11:00
• 06:00 - 12:00
• 07:00 - 12:00
• 07:00 - 13:00
• 17:00 - 22:00

What you'll be doing...

• You will deliver the Hampton Breakfast - which is a buffet free to hotel guests - sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, beans, potato Rosti, cereals. pastries, fruit, toast, yogurt, Hampton Waffles, hot and cold drinks. Hampton Dinner is a menu offering burgers, pizza's and other classics served 17:00 - 22:00.
• You will be responsible to cook and deliver the Hampton breakfast & dinner to the Hampton by Hilton specification and operations guide.
• To ensure that all production areas comply with the required, hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure correct stock rotation on all sections, fridges, freezers & dry stores.
• Clear / clean tables and kitchen
• Other ad hoc duties as and when required

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of Cook you will need the following qualities and skills.

• The ability to adhering to the company’s rules and regulations on policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health & safety, and licensing regulations
• The ability to manage various sections of the kitchen, whilst ensuring health & safety standards are met
• To be flexible in your approach,
• A team player who thrives in the hustle and bustle of a busy kitchen department
• Someone who is passionate about food and willing to learn
• Previous experience in a similar role,
• An understanding of quality control and kitchen standards
