Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams contracted to 17.5 hours per week. You will help deliver safe, hygienic environments for defence and government sites across the UK.

The role includes mornings shifts Mon–Fri and a 49.2-week per year schedule, with responsibilities across dusting, sweeping, sanitising, and restocking cleaning supplies. Prior cleaning experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles preferred but not essential.
• Able to work mornings and adapt shifts as required.
• Attention to detail and reliable team member.

Responsibilities

• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum designated areas to a high standard.
• Ensure surfaces, floors and touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as needed, including spill cleanup.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste and manage cleaning supplies.
• Work with cleaning teams to maintain safe, hygienic environments.
