Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland in Southampton is hiring a cleaner to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment across sites. The role is based at Quay House, Monday to Friday, 3.5 hours daily, totaling 17.5 hours weekly, with shifts in the evenings or mornings.

You will perform general cleaning, replenish consumables, follow health and safety procedures, and report issues to your supervisor. Right to work in the UK and DBS check are required; cleaning experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning environments, commercial or public sector preferred.
• Solid understanding of cleaning methods, equipment and materials.
• Awareness of health & safety and hygiene standards.
• Reliable, punctual, flexible and able to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties in line with site requirements: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, waste disposal.
• Clean welfare areas, offices, corridors, washrooms and other designated areas to standard.
• Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels and soap as needed.
• Follow health & safety, COSHH, and cleaning procedures at all times.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and correctly, reporting any issues to supervision.
• Work efficiently to complete tasks within agreed timescales.
