Job summary

Looe Primary Academy in East Looe, Cornwall, part of Bridge Schools Trust, seeks a Class Teacher for two days per week. The role includes a job-share with the Assistant Headteacher in Year 1/2, starting as soon as possible subject to DBS clearance and pre-employment checks. Fixed-term until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience across both Key Stages would be desirable.
• Experience supporting children with behavioural, social, emotional or mental health needs.
• Passionate about helping children achieve their best.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that enable all children to achieve their full potential.
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment where children feel valued, supported and inspired to learn.
• Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners and ensure appropriate challenge and support.
• Work closely with colleagues, teaching assistants and external professionals to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Play a full part in the life of the school and wider Trust community.
• Lead and develop a curriculum area across the school, sharing good practice and supporting school improvement.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute positively to our collaborative and supportive team culture.
