Location: Walsall, Secondary School

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher or Cover Supervisor to join a fantastic secondary school based in the Walsall area. This is a great opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about education and eager to make a positive impact on students’ learning and development.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to secondary school students.
  • Support students in developing a strong understanding of key scientific concepts.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and curiosity.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience in Chemistry within a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young people.
  • QTS is desirable but not essential – experienced cover supervisors or unqualified teachers with a strong Chemistry background are encouraged to apply.
