Job Summary

Queensway Hospital provides specialist mental health care in a supportive, person-centred environment. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Part‑Time Chef to join our friendly team and help us deliver nutritious, high‑quality meals for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook balanced, varied meals in line with patient dietary requirements (including soft, vegetarian, and allergy‑specific diets).
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness in accordance with HACCP and infection control standards.
• Support with menu planning and stock management.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure mealtimes are calm, positive, and therapeutic experiences.

We deliver person‑centred, trauma‑informed care, and actively involve patients and families in care and treatment, including weekly community forums, therapeutic planning, and feedback processes all supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team, including OT, psychology, dietetics, and peer support.
