Job summary

Linnaeus Group's Cave hospital in Somerset is seeking an experienced small animal surgeon for a fixed-term, part-time role (2 days per week) with a 1‑in‑4 out‑of‑hours rota. You will join a team of diplomate surgeons to manage soft tissue and orthopaedic referrals.

The surgery team includes three ECVS Diplomats plus a residency-trained surgeon and dedicated theatre staff. Ongoing training and external CPD are provided to support career development.

Qualifications

• Experienced certificate holder in small animal surgery.
• Strong communication skills and animal welfare focus.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical referral cases.
• Care for surgical inpatients.
• Out of hours support to referring vets.
