Job summary

A regional healthcare trust seeks a Consultant Medical Psychotherapist specializing in Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapy. Qualifications

• Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
• In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face CBT assessments and treatment.
• Run a medication clinic for CBT patients.
• Supervise Higher and Core trainees in CBT.

Skills

Excellent knowledge in specialty

Excellent clinical skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty

Experience in NHS or comparable service

Education

MB BS or equivalent medical qualification

MRCPsych OR equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists

External qualification registered with BPC or UKCP as CBT therapist
