Job summary

Epsom General Hospital is seeking an experienced MRI Cardiac Radiographer (Band 7) to lead the cardiac MRI service. The role involves close collaboration with the MRI Lead and Cardiology Lead to develop and set up a new cardiac MRI service, including the Siemens Sola 1.5T and GE 1.5T systems.

The post requires extensive cardiac MRI experience, general MRI skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Cardiac MRI expertise and wide MRI experience.
• Strong communication with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to train junior radiographers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the cardiac MRI imaging workflow to meet clinical demand.
• Provide specialist training and support to junior radiographers in cardiac MRI.
• Ensure adherence to governance, safety and MRI safety protocols.
• Demonstrate competence in all MRI exams including cardiac MRI.
• Maintain documentation and image quality for diagnostics.
