Job summary

Plexus Psychiatry is seeking part-time CAMHS consultants to provide clinical assessments and management plans for children and young people with mental health needs. The role combines virtual consultations with some face-to-face appointments in a hybrid model.

You will liaise with families, schools, and other professionals, document care plans, and contribute to risk management and treatment strategies while upholding current guidelines and CPD requirements.

Qualifications

• Specialist training (CCT) in CAMHS with broad diagnostic and management skills.
• Strong risk assessment and crisis intervention capabilities.
• Excellent communication with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience using telepsychiatry and remote consultations.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations and assess young patients.
• Review histories and liaise with families and schools.
• Document care plans and notes promptly.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to treatment plans.
• Support service development and quality improvement.
