Job summary

A construction sector firm in Walsall is seeking a Part Time Bookkeeper. The role involves recording income and expenditure, VAT returns, and payroll.   • Recording income and expenditure using the Xero system.
  • Quarterly VAT returns.
  • Running small payroll - weekly and monthly paid staff/sub-contractors.
  • Chasing payment from building contractors.
  • Submitting end of year figures to Chartered Accountants.
  • Working closely with external accountants.
  • Generating monthly income and expenditure reports.
  • Setting up invoice payments.
  • Dealing with employee and subcontractor tax queries.

We are recruiting for a Part Time Bookkeeper for our client based in the Walsall area.
You will need experience and understanding of bookkeeping within the construction sector to be considered for this role.
This is a fantastic and flexible role, working in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Company - Established manufacturing/ joinery company
Job Title - Part Time Bookkeeper
Salary - up to £25K (dependent on number of hours worked)
Hours - 20-25 hours per week (flexible for the right person)

Main duties
  • Recording income and expenditure using the Xero system.
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Running small payroll - weekly and monthly paid staff/ sub-contractors.
  • Credit control chasing payment from building contractors.
  • Submitting end of year figures to the Chartered Accountants who generate annual accounts.
  • Working closely with the external accountants.
  • Generating monthly income and expenditure reports.
  • Setting up invoice payments.
  • Dealing with employee and subcontractor tax queries.
