A supportive care organization in Hove is seeking a compassionate and energetic individual to provide companionship and assistance to a young woman with complex needs. The ideal candidate will be reliable, caring, and able to engage in both fun and serious tasks. Regular working hours include Wednesdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays. Requires a good fitness level and the ability to drive a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Previous experience in care is preferred.
Are you someone who's full of life, loves to laugh, and isn't afraid to be a bit silly? Do you enjoy music, playing games, getting out and about, and making the most of each day-whatever the weather? We're looking for a fun, outgoing, and energetic person with a great sense of humour to bring joy and companionship to a vibrant young woman who loves to have a good time.
But it's not all fun and games — this is also a role that requires heart. You'll need to be caring, compassionate, and confident, with the maturity to handle serious situations when needed. Our daughter is a wheelchair user with complex needs. She has epilepsy, a visual impairment, and is doubly incontinent, so this is a female‑only position. What she needs most is someone who will support her, keep her safe, and advocate for her while being a reliable and consistent presence in her life.
You’ll be working every Wednesday and Friday from 2:30‑6:30 PM, and two Saturdays a month from 11 AM‑4 PM. It’s essential that you’re dependable and able to commit to these regular hours. You must also be over 21 and comfortable driving a wheelchair‑accessible vehicle. The role can be physically demanding, so a good level of fitness is important.
If you have a big personality, a kind heart, and a commitment to making a difference while having genuine fun along the way, we’d love to hear from you. References will be required.
