Job summary

Westcliff Primary Academy in Dawlish, Devon is seeking from January 2027 a part-time permanent Assistant Head with a teaching responsibility in KS2 and a place on the school's leadership team.

The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum and assessment, drive standards, and work with the Trust and leadership networks. There is weekly leadership release time and the role is not suitable for ECTs.

Qualifications

• Commitment to raising standards across Key Stage 2 and beyond.
• Ability to inspire children academically, socially, emotionally and to prepare them as citizens.

Responsibilities

• Lead on key aspects of school improvement with the Trust Leadership Team.
• Teach in KS2 and contribute to leadership release time each week.
• Support curriculum planning, assessment and school development alongside senior leaders.
