Job summary

A leading company in the Real Estate sector is seeking a Part-time Assistant Accountant to support financial accountants. This role involves maintaining accurate accounting records and various accounting duties. Candidates should be part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent with experience as an Accounts Assistant. This position is hybrid and offers a salary up to £50,000 pro rata.

Qualifications

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualified or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as an Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant.
  • Able to start a new position early Dec 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Issuing monthly/quarterly recharge/fee invoices.
  • Liaising with Vendors & Customers regarding account queries.
  • Monthly/quarterly bank & intercompany reconciliations for multiple companies.
  • Review of AP team invoice coding across multiple companies.
  • Assisting in preparation of quarterly management accounts & producing management packs.
  • Monthly/quarterly journal postings, ledger analysis & reconciliations.
  • Reviewing employee expenses.
  • Analysis of monthly managing agent's information/reports.
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Liaising with external accountants for audit tasks.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements & iXBRL tagging.
  • Ad-hoc projects & reports for Senior Management decisions.

Skills

ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualified or equivalent
Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant
Can do' attitude and wants to learn and progress

Part-time Assistant Accountant (4 days a week) - 1 year FTC - Up to £50,000 pro rata - London/hybrid

My client, a leading company within the Real Estate sector, is looking to recruit a Part-time Assistant Accountant for a 12 month fixed term contract. This role supports the financial accountants across our management and real estate companies. The primary responsibility is to maintain accurate accounting records, ensuring reliability for reporting to senior management.

Key responsibilities:
  • Issuing monthly/quarterly recharge/fee invoices.
  • Liaising with Vendors & Customers re account queries.
  • Monthly/quarterly bank & intercompany reconciliations for multiple companies.
  • Review of AP team invoice coding across multiple companies.
  • Assisting in preparation of quarterly management accounts & producing management packs (for directors).
  • Monthly/quarterly journal postings, ledger analysis & reconciliations.
  • Reviewing employee expenses.
  • For the real estate companies; analysis of monthly managing agent's information/reports & producing quarterly property accounts analysis packs.
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Audit tasks; liaising with external accountants and dealing with audit queries.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements & iXBRL tagging.
  • Ad-hoc projects & reports to assist with Senior Management decisions.
