Job summary

Bicton College in Devon is seeking an Animal Management Lecturer to join our delivery team. You will teach and assess learners from Level 1 to Level 3, both in the classroom and practical settings, including work with exotic species, mammals, fish and birds in our zoo-licensed unit.

The role is part-time (18.5 hours/week, 52 weeks) with a teaching contract. Experience in the animal industry is valued, with Level 4+ qualifications and a teaching qualification being desirable.

Qualifications

• Broad experience in the animal industry.
• Level 4+ qualification is required.
• Teaching qualification desirable; willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assess learners from Level 1 to 3.
• Deliver practical lessons in animal subjects.
• Work with exotic species, mammals, fish and birds in a zoo-licensed unit.
