Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is hiring a Part time Afternoon Cleaner based at Noel Baker Academy (DE24 0BR). The role is 15 hours per week, Mon-Fri 15:30-18:30, 49-week contract. DBS clearance is essential. The position offers a salary of £9,341.85 per annum plus a benefits package.

The successful candidate will maintain high hygiene standards, assist with deep cleans scheduled in advance, and support site teams with a proactive, professional approach to customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience within the cleaning/hospitality industry with best practices.
• Good timekeeping and attendance record.
• Outgoing personality with strong customer service focus.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality service and communicate expectations.
• BICS qualification or similar is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all work as requested in premises.
• Keep working areas hygienic and well-presented according to health and safety rules.
• Report maintenance issues to the Caretaker.
• Work under pressure, solve problems, and use initiative.
• Follow company systems and processes; maintain smart appearance and uniform.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and COSHH regulations.
• Follow instructions for equipment maintenance and storage.
• Keep cupboards clean and locked when not in use.
• Be proactive in improving work practices while following safety procedures.
• Be prepared to perform other duties as requested by the Caretaker.
• Deal with customer requests politely to exceed expectations.
