Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a proactive Part Time Administrator to cover maternity leave in the distribution department. Located in Shrewsbury, the successful candidate will manage delivery documentation, support drivers, and assist various teams during peak times. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office. This temporary role offers a flexible 30-hour work week, Monday to Friday, at £12.21 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inputting and collating all driver delivery documentation.
  • Arranging for driver digital tachograph cards download.
  • Acting as a point of contact for drivers and the Distribution team.
  • Providing general assistance on site during peak times.
  • Coordinating compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Providing general office support when needed.

Monday-Friday, 9am - 3pm 30 hours per week

Overview

Our well‑established client based on the outskirts of Shrewsbury is seeking a proactive Administrator to provide maternity cover in their distribution department. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running and ensure a smooth handover during this busy period. This is a varied role, ideal for someone organised, adaptable and confident in supporting a busy team.

Responsibilities
  • Inputting and collating all driver delivery documentation
  • Arranging for driver digital tachograph cards to be downloaded on a weekly basis
  • Acting as a point of contact for drivers and the Distribution team
  • Flexibly providing general assistance on site at peak times to ensure efficient business activity
  • Co‑ordinating compliance with Health and Safety requirements and various Distribution regulations
  • Providing general office support when required including assisting the wider Distribution and Customer Services teams
Skills and Experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Strong IT knowledge and skills, including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced working environment
  • Can work closely within a team whilst also working under own initiative
