Job summary

Adecco is seeking a part-time Accounts Assistant in Harlow for a 9-12 month maternity cover. The role is office-based, 24-25 hours per week, with a salary of £19,500 per annum pro-rata for part-time hours.

You will work closely with the Head of Accounts, handling invoices, reconciliations, and day-to-day financial tasks while maintaining accurate records and supporting the finance team.

Qualifications

• Experience using Sage 50 is essential.
• Ability to work independently alongside the Head of Accounts.

Responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices.
• Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
• Carrying out bank reconciliations.
• Processing payments and receipts.
• General data entry and accounts administration.
• Assisting with month-end processes.
• Handling finance-related queries from suppliers and customers.
• Providing general administrative support to the finance team.
