A charity organization near Diss, Norfolk is seeking a Part-time Accountant to manage financial integrity and operational efficiency. Are you an Accountant looking for a part-time role?

We're pleased to be supporting a charity in their search for a Part-time Accountant, working 22.5 hours per week, either over 3 days or more.

As their Accountant, your role will be to ensure the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organisation by managing accounting functions.

This is a varied role with duties including:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Support budgeting and financial planning activities, including variance analysis.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and Gift Aid claims to HMRC.
We're looking for someone with:
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Experience with accounting software (preferably Xero).
  • The ability to manage confidential information with discretion and adhere to data protection.
Qualifications & Experience
  • AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or working towards).
  • Familiarity with charity or not for profit sector operations ideally.
