Job description

Our client is seeking a financial accounting professional to provide financial accounting services to the business and meet UK statutory reporting requirements.

Job Description

Reporting to the Manager UK & HQ Financial Accounting, this individual will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts, liaising with company auditors, and coordinating responses to audit testing. Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare statutory accounts with supporting schedules and documentation to meet external audit requirements.
• Participate in the year-end SOX control audits and prepare supporting schedules and analysis.
• Ensure timely and accurate internal monthly corporate reporting to our headquarters in the US.
• Perform month end close activities, including accruals and amortisations, loyalty scheme accounting, and intercompany settlements.
• Undertake monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and critically review accounting entries in SAP.

Qualifications and Competencies

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be educated to degree level and studying for a financial accounting qualification such as ACCA.
• Have experience of financial accounting and statutory reporting under FRS102.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Be an intermediate user of Excel & SAP, with experience using Thomson Reuters OneSource Accounts Production software preferred but not essential.
