Job summary

WSP's Birmingham studio is seeking a talented Part II Architectural Assistant to join our client-facing team. You will contribute to office, rail, and commercial projects across the UK, using Revit and AutoCAD, delivering high-quality graphics and documentation across RIBA work stages.

You will work in a collaborative, in-person environment at our Mailbox studio, with a culture of idea exchange, and opportunities to mentor others while growing towards Chartership.

Qualifications

• Part I and II from a school of Architecture.
• Experience with UK regulations applicable to the discipline.
• Post Part II working experience.
• Fluent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Revit and AutoCAD capability.
• Organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to communicate technical detail graphically and effectively.
• Must be able to obtain UK security clearance (SC).

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an architectural team to successfully complete tasks/projects.
• Demonstrate design sensitivity and awareness for high quality graphics.
• Production of drawn and graphic information in 2D and 3D.
• Assisting in the delivery of projects through all RIBA work stages.
• Show awareness of productive team working.

A little more about your role…

Talented Part II Architectural Assistant wanted to join our busy Birmingham studio. We are an in-person client facing business seeking designers to work with and mentor on multiple new projects in the UK and beyond, varying in size. These projects comprise office, rail, and commercial developments for governmental, corporate, and institutional clients.

You will be capable in Revit and take pride in working with a team that strives for quality in all areas of design. We are based in our own purpose-built studio in the Mailbox, Birmingham. Our practice thrives on a welcoming and relaxed internal atmosphere, opportunities to engage with interesting projects and the thoughtful exchange of ideas.

• Work as part of an architectural team to successfully complete tasks/projects

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

Knowledge & Skills:

• Having experience of the UK regulations applicable to the discipline and how to demonstrate this in project execution.


• Post Part II working experience required


• Fluent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite


• Revit & AutoCAD capability


• Organisational skills and ability to work under pressure


• Be able to work under own initiative or as part of a team


• Have an ability to communicate technical detail graphically and effectively


• Must be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC)
