Job description

We’re expanding, and we’re looking for talented Part 1 and Part 2 Architectural Assistants to join our Inverness studio. This is more than a job. It’s a chance to work on a portfolio of distinctive projects across the Highlands and Orkney.

Are you a Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant looking to shape your career in a practice that values creativity, sustainability, and community impact? At HRI Munro Architecture, we are seeking ambitious, thoughtful individuals who care deeply about delivering beautiful, purposeful design.

We are a small, friendly team working across the Highlands and Islands on a diverse portfolio—from powerhouses and private homes to housing masterplans and research campuses. Our work is rooted in innovation and environmental responsibility, with a particular passion for timber technologies and place-sensitive architecture.

We are looking for someone who is pro-active, organised, and detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic and a collaborative spirit. Experience with Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering packages is welcome, but not essential—training will be provided.

As an employee-owned and equal opportunity practice, we offer more than just a job. You’ll find a supportive, inclusive environment where your ideas are valued and your wellbeing matters. We offer flexible and home-working as standard, a competitive salary and benefits package, and we’re currently trialling a 4-day working week to promote a healthy work-life balance.

If you are ready to contribute to a legacy of sustainable architecture and grow within a team that genuinely cares, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV to info@hri-architects.com
