Job summary

Salisbury City Council is seeking a Parks & Grounds Officer to join the grounds team in Salisbury. You will be responsible for grass cutting, gardening, hedge cutting and general grounds maintenance across parks and green spaces, on a 37-hour per week rota during summer and winter seasons.

Essentially you must have a full driving licence and be able to work outdoors in all weather. The role offers a supportive environment, opportunities for training, and excellent benefits including pension

Qualifications

• Full driving license required.
• Previous experience in a similar grounds or outdoor maintenance role preferred.
• Knowledge of health & safety requirements is desirable.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Grass cutting and general grounds maintenance.
• Gardening, Weeding, planting, maintaining display areas.
• Sports pitch marking and hedge cutting.
• General grounds maintenance tasks across parks and green spaces.

Parks & Grounds Officer

Location: Salisbury

Salary: £28,608 - £29,542 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week on a seasonal rota (Summer and winter).
