A regional educational institution in the United Kingdom is seeking a full-time service provider to support children and families across multiple schools. The successful candidate will provide guidance to enhance student participation and address absenteeism issues. Candidates must be able to travel between schools and conduct home visits as part of their duties. Experience in relevant fields is advantageous.
The post is to provide a PFSA service to the following schools with the indicative time spent in those schools indicated in brackets.
It will be necessary for the successful candidate to be able to travel between schools and some home visits will be necessary. Therefore the ability to drive is considered necessary for the role.
The post is hosted by Ansford Academy as part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership.
Provide advice and guidance to children / young people families and schools to encourage their involvement in the school environment encourage the positive participation of the students in the learning environment of the school and improve the learning opportunities for those students.
Investigate the circumstances behind absences or contributing causing children and young people to be unable to make best use of time at school and if appropriate help resolve difficulties and identify areas that may be of concern in the near future.
Enable the focus of attention on likely causes to provide a preventative option for the school and other agencies.
