Parcelforce Worldwide, part of Royal Mail, is hiring a Warehouse Sorter in Preston (PR5 8AN). You will unload/load parcels, sort them for delivery routes and prepare trailers, while delivering a friendly, dependable service.

Contract is permanent, with 16.5 hours and opportunities for overtime. Starting salary is £25,201 per year (£12.71/hour), rising to £27,561 after 6 months and up to £30,000 with overtime and weekend premiums.

• Starting salary: £25,201 per year, £12.71 per hour
• After 6 months: £27,561 per year, £13.94 per hour
• Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)
• Saturday & Sunday Weekend Premium +£4.39 (Saturdays) & +£6.58 (Sundays) applied to contracted hours
• Paid weekday and weekend overtime
• Additional Allowances:-o Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)o Night Duty Allowance (+£2.74 per hour, applicable on hours worked between 20:00 and 06:00)

What you’ll be doing

• Unloading / Loading parcels
• Sorting parcels to correct delivery route / preparing trailer ready for the drivers / onward transport
• Providing a friendly, dependable service — whether it’s a birthday gift or important business mail
