Job summary

Angard Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Operative for Parcelforce during the Christmas peak season. You will assist with loading/unloading parcels and help maintain safe, efficient operations in a busy distribution centre.

Starting pay is £13.17 per hour, with £15.91 per hour for night shifts. This role offers weekly pay and a supportive, team-based environment with varied daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Flexible and reliable with the ability to switch tasks as needed.
• Works well in a team and can follow directions in a busy warehouse.
• Able to lift up to 30kg and push loads up to 250kg (with assistance for heavier items).
• Physically fit to stand for long periods and work shifts.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Load and unload parcels.


• Move parcels through the warehouse safely and efficiently.


• Sort parcels to correct delivery route and prepare trailers for drivers and onward transport.


• Securely handle all items in the warehouse, including handling specific items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• No previous experience required; however, experience in similar environments is a bonus.


• Flexibility and comfort in switching between tasks.


• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg and push loads up to 250kg (with assistance for heavier items).


• Physical fitness and ability to manage long shifts on your feet.
