Job summary

Angard Staffing is seeking flexible (temporary) Warehouse Operatives to join Parcelforce in a fast-paced environment. You will load and unload parcels, move items through the warehouse, and operate sorting equipment to ensure on-time delivery.

No previous experience is required, but reliability, flexibility, and team spirit are valued. Pay rates apply across day, night, and bank holiday periods, with shifts varying to meet demand.

• Ability to lift parcels up to 30kg and push loads up to 250kg (with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading parcels from trailers
• Moving parcels through the warehouse safely and efficiently
• Operating mechanised parcel sorting equipment
• Sorting up to 40,000 items with your team during a single shift
• Ensuring every parcel – big or small – is handled with care and reaches its destination on time
• You're expected to securely handle all items in the warehouse, including handling certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be a key part of the parcel journey:

• Loading and unloading parcels from trailers
• Moving parcels through the warehouse safely and efficiently
• Operating mechanised parcel sorting equipment
• Sorting up to 40,000 items with your team during a single shift
• Ensuring every parcel – big or small – is handled with care and reaches its destination on time
• You're expected to securely handle all items in the warehouse, including handling certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail standards.

What We're Looking For

We welcome individuals from all backgrounds – no previous experience is required, but it’s a bonus if you’ve worked in similar environments.

Our ideal candidate:

• Is flexible and comfortable switching between tasks
• Can lift parcels up to 30kg and push loads up to 250kg (with assistance for heavier items)
• Is physically fit and able to manage long shifts on their feet
• Is motivated, reliable, and ready to work as part of a team

Payrates & Shifts

The tables below outline the pay rates applicable for warehouse roles at our Parcelforce sites. The rates displayed are payable for your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.

0-26 Weeks service

• Mon â Sat Days – Hours Worked Between 06:00 â 19:00 – Pay Rate â13.17
• Mon â Sat Nights – Hours Worked Between 19:00 â 06:00 – Pay Rate â15.91
• Bank Holiday – All Day – Pay Rate â26.81

27 Weeks service onwards

• Mon â Sat Days – Hours Worked Between 06:00 â 19:00 – Pay Rate â14.36
• Mon â Sat Nights – Hours Worked Between 19:00 â 06:00 – Pay Rate â17.10
• Bank Holiday – All Day – Pay Rate â26.81
