Job summary

Parcelforce is seeking a Warehouse Operative for the Christmas season to support busy operations. You will load and unload parcels, move them through the warehouse, and sort items for delivery routes while preparing trailers for drivers.

You will handle items safely, including sensitive goods, in line with Royal Mail standards. This role offers competitive pay with weekly pay and a dynamic, team‑oriented environment where no two days are the same.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, experience in similar environments is a bonus.
• Must be flexible and able to switch between tasks.
• Able to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg and push loads up to 250kg with assistance for heavier items.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long shifts.
• Motivated, reliable and team-oriented.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Load and unload parcels.
• Move parcels through the warehouse safely and efficiently.
• Sort parcels to correct delivery route and prepare trailers for drivers and onward transport.
• Securely handle all items in the warehouse, including handling specific items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• No previous experience required; however, experience in similar environments is a bonus.
• Flexibility and comfort in switching between tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg and push loads up to 250kg (with assistance for heavier items).
• Physical fitness and ability to manage long shifts on your feet.
• Motivation, reliability, and readiness to work as part of a team.

Starting Pay Rate:

• Monday to Saturday Days: 06:00 - 20:00 - £13.17 per hour
• Monday to Saturday Nights: 20:00 - 06:00 - £15.91 per hour

Shift Days and Hours:

Monday to Friday: 13:00 - 17:00
