Job summary

Royal Mail Group's Parcelforce Worldwide Swansea team is hiring a delivery driver. The role includes sorting parcels, planning routes and delivering to homes and businesses across Swansea.

Starting salary £25,201 per year with potential to rise to £30,000 with overtime, weekend premiums, and allowances. You’ll receive a generous pension, holiday entitlement, medical cover, uniform and training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK driving licence (Cat B) and be able to drive safely.
• Able to lift and carry parcels up to 30 kg.
• Reliable, friendly and customer-focused.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 38 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. There are two available shift patterns for this role.

Shift patterns: Option one: Saturday to Monday & Wednesday 08:30-18:00
Option two: Wednesday to Saturday 08:30-18:00

Overtime may be available.

Location: Parcelforce Worldwide Swansea - SA7 0AQ

Why this role pays off

Starting salary: £25,201 per year (£12.71 per hour)

After 6 months: £27,561 per year (£13.94 per hour)

Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)

Saturday & Sunday Weekend Premium +£4.39 (Saturdays) & +£6.58 (Sundays) applied to contracted hours

Paid weekday and weekend overtime

Additional Allowances:

• Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)
• Weekly Driving Allowance (£26.73 weekly)

What you'll be doing

• Sorting parcels and planning efficient delivery routes
• Carrying out essential vehicle safety checks
• Collecting and delivering parcels to homes and businesses
• Providing a friendly, dependable service - whether it's a birthday gift or important business mail

What we're looking for

• A full UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg
• Someone who's friendly, dependable, and customer focused
• Comfortable working independently but also a great team player
• Looking for a stable, long-term role in a growing organisation
