Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide is seeking a delivery driver in Newcastle, at Chester Lee Street, Drum Industrial Estate. The role is permanent, 38 hours per week, with overtime opportunities. Starting salary £25,201 per year, rising to £27,561 after six months and up to £30,000 with overtime.

You will sort parcels, plan routes, perform vehicle safety checks and deliver to homes and businesses, with a strong pension, holiday allowance and medical cover as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (Cat C1 up to 7.5 tonnes)
• Registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points and DCQC accreditation
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30 kg
• Friendly, dependable and customer focused; team player

Responsibilities

• Sort parcels and plan efficient delivery routes
• Carry out essential vehicle safety checks
• Collect and deliver parcels to homes and businesses
• Provide a friendly, dependable service - whether it's a birthday gift or important business mail
