Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Paraplanning Manager to lead and develop a small paraplanning team within a growing independent wealth management business. The role combines people leadership, hands-on technical paraplanning, and operational responsibility to support senior planners and the wider management team.

You will oversee workflow, maintain high standards, provide technical guidance, and contribute to process improvements while staying hands-on with complex cases and client

Qualifications

• Previous paraplanning experience.
• Level 4 diploma.
• Experience managing a team of Paraplanners.
• Strong knowledge of investments, pensions and financial planning.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A proactive, collaborative approach with a genuine interest in developing people.

Responsibilities

• Line manage and develop the paraplanning team, including 1-to-1s and appraisals.
• Allocate and oversee workflow, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team.
• Carry out quality assurance reviews and audits.
• Chair paraplanning team meetings and contribute to wider operations meetings.
• Work with senior management to improve processes and support business strategy.
• Liaise with compliance, Financial Planners and operations on technical and regulatory matters.
• Remain hands-on with technical paraplanning, including client analysis, research and suitability report writing.
• Support Financial Planners with complex cases and selected client reviews.
• Keep up to date with developments across investments, pensions and financial planning.
