A leading financial services firm in the UK is seeking a Paraplanner to join their team. This hybrid role, with expected office presence 3 days a week, involves preparing documentation for client recommendations and requires a Level 4 Diploma qualification. Ideal candidates will have experience in the financial planning industry and strong skills in multitasking and Microsoft Office applications. The position offers extensive benefits including a non-contributory pension scheme and private medical insurance.
We are pleased to announce a distinguished opportunity for an individual to join the Paraplanning team within the London region. This role involves operating in a pod‑structured environment where strong organisational skills, teamwork and effective communication are paramount. The position is dynamic and requires dedication and the ability to manage pressure efficiently. Our team comprises 13 highly experienced and knowledgeable Paraplanners. I am proud to be part of Quilter’s journey thus far and warmly invite you to contribute to its continued success. The primary objective of this role is to provide Paraplanning support to Quilter Cheviot, ensuring the comprehensive preparation of all necessary documentation and information for recommendations to be delivered by advisers.
You will need to serve as a gatekeeper to the business, capable of challenging the status quo, advocating for what is right, and being innovative when required. Attention to detail and perseverance to achieve the best outcomes for our clients are essential qualities for this position. This role is both challenging and engaging, suitable for an individual with robust Paraplanning / Report Writing experience and extensive knowledge of the financial services industry; someone who can work collaboratively within a team and is not hesitant to take initiative. At Quilter Cheviot, we advise individuals with substantial investable assets, and the role will involve preparing suitability reports that frequently encompass a range of sophisticated products and taxation elements. You will be responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed within the required timescales, adhering to internal SLAs and FCA guidelines and procedures. Furthermore, you must possess a thorough understanding of the Treating Customer Fairly (TCF) philosophy and ensure your knowledge remains current through the training provided, using this to process business accurately within company SLAs.
This role offers hybrid working where you are expected to be in the office 3 days a week. Although you will be supporting the London team, we are open to candidates being based out of our London or Exeter office. While this isn’t a directly customer‑facing role, the duties you will perform will contribute to the overall positive outcomes for our customers.
We value diversity and strive to promote inclusivity in all aspects of our culture. We believe in equal opportunities for all, ensuring that no applicant encounters less favourable treatment based on anything but their skills, qualifications, experience, and potential. We celebrate the unique contributions of a diverse workforce and create a respectful, nurturing environment where every colleague can thrive.
