We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning practice in Norwich who are looking to recruit a Paraplanner to join their team.

As a Paraplanner you will have the opportunity to provide a more holistic financial planningsolution, with access to a hub of knowledge, built up by the firms’ Partners who between themhave over 50 years’ experience.

Overview

To support the Financial Planners in a variety of ways, ensuring a fully compliant service andexcellent client experience is maintained at all times, with a view to developing your industryknowledge and experience of presenting research to clients.

A Day in the Life of a Paraplanner
  • Analysis - full analysis of clients’ requirements, development of cash flow models andaccurate recording of client data
  • Solutions - construction of financial planning solutions (investment, retirement, long termcare planning, tax and IHT planning) supported by the production of computer models andreports
  • Recommendations - preparation of letters and reports (liaising with administrators), takingfull responsibility for the client files and back office IT records throughout the adviceprocess
  • Reviews - preparation of client reviews, updating cash flow models, investmentperformance reviews and production of supporting reports, discussion documents andcomputer models
  • Client Relationship Building - servicing client’s day to day needs, liaison by telephone,letter, email and attending meetings, including presenting solutions and recommendations
  • Coordination - working with colleagues within the Financial Planning team to ensureapplication and provider forms are prepared as required and clients are updatedthroughout the process
  • Partners – working with other professional advisers Solicitors and Accountants toimplement an agreed action plan
About You
You will need :
  • A minimum of a Diploma in Financial Planning and a requirement to keep abreast ofcompliance and regulatory changes
  • Four years industry experience – preferable
  • Excellent administrative, research, report writing and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with a preference for working in a structured, planned manner
  • Ongoing self-development to maintain appropriate level of CPD for role
