Job summary

mbf, a well-established national financial planning business with a substantial London presence, is recruiting a senior paraplanner. You will produce suitability reports on complex cases and act as a technical reference for juniors while contributing to research and template development.

You will mentor colleagues, partner with a defined group of advisers, and help refine processes within an established paraplanning function. London hybrid role with strong progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Diploma with progress toward Chartered
• 4+ years paraplanning with complex casework
• Ability to work independently and challenge advisers when needed
• Mentoring experience welcomed

Responsibilities

• Producing suitability reports on complex cases such as DB transfers, IHT planning, trusts and corporate work
• Acting as a technical reference point for junior paraplanners and administrators
• Contributing to research, panel reviews and development of report templates and processes
• Partnering with a defined group of advisers rather than a general pool

Location: London (hybrid - 2 days office, 3 days home) Salary: £52,000 - £60,000 plus bonus, pension and full benefits

The role

A senior position within an established technical team, with scope to take on mentoring and process responsibility alongside your casework:

• Producing suitability reports on complex cases - DB transfers, IHT planning, trusts and corporate work
• Acting as a technical reference point for junior paraplanners and administrators
• Contributing to research, panel reviews and the ongoing development of report templates and process
• Partnering with a defined group of advisers rather than working from a general pool

What we're looking for

• Level 4 Diploma qualified, with meaningful progress towards Chartered
• Four or more years' paraplanning experience, including complex casework
• Confident working independently and comfortable challenging an adviser's thinking where the technical position warrants it
• Prior experience mentoring junior colleagues is welcome, though not essential
