Innes Reid, Chartered Independent Financial advisers based in Hoole, Chester, is seeking an experienced paraplanner to work closely with our team of financial advisers to design, develop, and implement comprehensive financial plans that exceed our clients’ expectations. • Several years of paraplanning experience in an IFA practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare analysis of client portfolios and research appropriate advice.
• Provide technical support to Advisers and draft Recommendation Reports.
• Adhere to compliance procedures and internal standards.
• Liaise with product providers and clients to support ongoing planning.
• Develop knowledge of financial products to meet regulatory requirements.

Job description

We are looking to recruit an experienced, high calibre paraplanner to work closely with our team of financial advisers to design, develop, and implement comprehensive financial plans that exceed our clients’ expectations.

The role

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing analysis of client’s existing portfolio
• Provision of technical support to Advisers
• Completing calculations (i.e., income tax, IHT, Capital Gains Tax, Lifetime Allowance, Pension Annual Allowance, Carry Forward, Chargeable Gains, Cashflow Modelling etc.)
• Working closely with the Adviser to research and formulate appropriate advice
• Preparation of Recommendation Reports and supplementary documentation
• Adherence to Innes Reid’s compliance procedures, core values and high standards of client service
• Regular liaison with product providers, account managers and clients
• Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of financial products and markets to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs

Skills and experience

• You have previous experience of working within an Independent Financial Adviser practice
• You are organised & methodical
• You have excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy

• You have strong IT skills, specifically in MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience of IO (Intelliflo) back-office system would be an advantage, together with experience of some, or all, of the following platforms:

The ideal candidate will have several years of paraplanning experience, RO qualifications would be preferred but not essential if experience can be evidenced.
